Here are a few ideas:

1. Ebay- You can find great deals on Ebay, but you usually have to know exactly what you are looking for. If you already know what brand/type etc of brakes, Ebay would make a great start.

2. Amazon- Amazon and its partners carry everything.

3. http://www.google.com/products

4. http://www.performancebike.com/

after riding around this afternoon, i have decided to spend my money locally, i'll probably end up paying a wee bit more, but judging by the prices i saw online, not really very much more!
